Stephane Rolland day - Couture FW26/27
It simply wouldn’t be Couture Week without walking for Stéphane Rolland.
After many years, Stéphane has become so much more than a friend to me. He is family, an angel in my life, my God father in fashion and someone I deeply admire. Every season, I wonder how he can possibly surprise me again and somehow, he always does. To me, his clothes are truly works of art.
This season, Stéphane paid tribute to the timeless Dalida, a woman whose voice, beauty and presence left an unforgettable mark on generations. Born in Cairo to Italian parents, she became one of France’s greatest cultural icons, admired not only for her extraordinary talent but also for the elegance, emotion and vulnerability she carried throughout her life. Her story was one of glamour, resilience and passion, making her the perfect muse for a Couture collection.
The collection unfolded almost like one of her songs: dramatic yet delicate, powerful yet deeply intimate. Every silhouette seemed to capture a different emotion, playing with light, movement and exquisite craftsmanship. It was poetic, cinematic and profoundly moving.
Walking for Stéphane will always be one of the most special moments of evrery Couture Week.
MY FIRST LOOK
My first look was this incredible white crêpe gown, paired with a wool gazar pareo embroidered with rock crystal.
The moment I put it on, I felt completely transformed. There was something incredibly powerful about its architecture, the sculptural silhouette, the dramatic asymmetrical draping and the way the fabric seemed to move effortlessly with every step. It felt modern and timeless at the same time, striking the perfect balance between strength and femininity.
One of my favourite details was the exquisite rock crystal embroidery, delicately catching the light without ever overpowering the look. The long gloves added an undeniable sense of elegance and drama, while the crystal earrings beautifully framed the face, completing the look with just the right amount of sparkle. Every element felt intentional, refined and perfectly balanced..
and the suede boots, omg LOVE THEM!
MY SECOND LOOK
My second look felt like pure drama and femininity. A white crêpe bustier gown embroidered with rock crystal, finished with the most breathtaking Watteau back flowing effortlessly behind me.
What immediately caught my attention was the contrast between simplicity and detail. At first glance, the silhouette appeared clean and understated, but as you looked closer, the delicate rock crystal embroidery around the neckline revealed itself like a piece of jewellery, illuminating the face and adding an ethereal glow to the entire look.
The Watteau back completely transformed the dress in motion. With every step, it floated behind me almost weightlessly, creating an incredible sense of elegance and fluidity. It brought softness to the sculpted silhouette and made every movement feel theatrical yet effortless.
There was also something incredibly feminine about the high slit, balanced perfectly by the clean lines of the gown. Nothing felt excessive; every detail had a purpose, creating a silhouette that was sensual, sophisticated and unmistakably Haute Couture.
Walking the runway in this look reminded me that Couture is not only about craftsmanship, but about emotion. The way Stéphane plays with proportion, movement and light is what makes his creations so unforgettable.
It felt sensual, powerful and effortlessly elegant.. all at once!
